Rev 5:9 and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language
and people and nation
Rev 7:9-10 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude
that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing
before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were
holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud
voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
In Revelation
chapters 5 and 7, we see a glimpse of glorious worship, falling before the
throne with singing, shouting, and crying unto the Lamb, Jesus and to our
Father God. Allow your imagination to picture this and you will begin to feel
your heart being totally captivated over and over with this throne-room scene. I
believe many great saints of God have lived for the ultimate fulfillment of this
grand and glorious event where the Lamb and God the Father receive the worship coming
from every nation, tribe, people, and language.
As we meditate
on this great scene, we begin to understand what God the Father's ultimate and
final goal is - that of receiving glory and worship from every ethnic people group
on the face of the earth. God reveals His glory TO the nations in order
that He can receive glory FROM the nations. Or more specifically; God will
reveal His glory to every ethnic people group of the earth in order that He may
receive glory from that people around His throne. God desires Global Worship—that
every people worship and adore HIM. He wants each space filled around His throne
with worshipping disciples from every ethnic group on earth. Let's make sure,
as we fill our space around the throne that passionate white-hot worship will come
from each of us.
A question that
comes as we meditate on this awesome worship scenario is - where did all the nations
come from? To answer this we must look back to Genesis - the book
of beginnings to see where the nations began. We see what God created in His first
six days, and then we see that Satan and man created sin. In Genesis 11, we see
how and why God created the nations - all speaking different tongues. Then in Genesis
12, God reveals to Abraham, His divine plan to have all the nations worship Him.
He would bless Abraham and he and his descendents would bless all the families of
the earth. (Gen. 12:2,3) We should boldly pray these verses as well. Lord, bless
me greatly in order that I might be a blessing to all the families of the earth.
This is our prayer for you and for us as well at Global Worship, that we would be
blessed in such a way as to be a blessing to the unreached ethnic people groups
of the world. We want to help people grow in their relationship with the Lord
to the point where they are worshipping disciples.
Another question
that arises is how many spaces around God's throne are yet to be filled with
worshipping disciples from every ethnic people group in the world. Just as the United
States has many diverse ethnic groups, even among Native American (first nations)
tribes, each political country of the world is composed of many ethnic people groups
within the boundaries of that country. One friend from the Amazon recently
told me that this mighty river has about four thousand islands, and that each island
has a different ethnic people group living on that island. Missiologists tell
us that 97% of the unreached peoples of the world live in the area of the world
known as "the 10/40 Window" (between the 10th and 40th parallel).
The people groups
in this area of the world have as a religion Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Tribal
folk religions and practices. The total in this area of the world is somewhere between
8 to 10 thousand unreached ethnic people groups representing over 2 Billion people.
This tells us that there are still many spaces that are yet to be filled around
the throne of God. Many of these groups are just waiting for the Gospel, and missionaries
have seen entire group conversions when the good news has reached them. There are
elements in these cultures that are open doors for sharing about Christ's redemptive
plan for mankind. Many are waiting and when the Gospel is shared with them readily
accept Christ. They even ask why it took so long to get the message to them.
What are the resources
that we have in order to reach these ethnic people groups? God has given the
United States such great anointings throughout its history - in economics, in transportation,
in communications, and in many other areas - all to get the gospel to these unreached
ethnic people groups. Cars, planes, radios, telephones, satellite and Internet communication
and many other U.S. inventions have all been gifts of God to our country in order
to reach the world for Jesus. A survey reported that Christians in the United States
have a collective total of $900 Billion after taxes are taken out. We are presently
giving about $2 Billion into world missions, - less than 1/4 of 1% !! Very
little of this amount is focused on the unreached ethnic peoples groups of
the world! We also have about 600 churches for every unreached ethnic people group.
We have incredible resources available to use for the Father's great goal of filling
His throne with worshipping disciples!!
We must not be guilty of
the Great Omission We must utilize every means possible and even
sacrifice as much as possible in order to see completion of the Great Commission
in our day!
Collectively
and cooperatively we can network together in our lifetime to see the Gospel reach
every person who has never heard. We as the U.S. church
have more resources than any church has had in the history of Christendom! We are
in a crucial place in history where we are capable of literally becoming a blessing
to every unreached ethnic people group around the earth. We must rise to the occasion,
put off our complacent slumber and preoccupation with convenience and pleasure,
seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit and His power, become passionate worshippers
and lovers of God, and sacrificially give ourselves to filling our Father's throne-room
with worshipping disciples!
If we will be
a nation that will bless all the world with the Gospel, we will be joining with
God's purposes for Israel
to bless all the "ta ethne" (Greek N.T.) - ethnic people groups of the earth (Gen.12:2,
3) God’s plan for Israel was to have a nation of priests who would
literally carry His glory to the nations. He gave them a strategic land where
the trade routes passed through. The goal was that merchants from every nation that
were passing through the land of Israel would see and experience the glory of God
in and upon the Jewish nation, and then "take it back" to his own people.
Five times God reveals His plan in His book of beginnings (Genesis)
in order to ensure that these foundational fathers would clearly understand what
He wanted. (Gen 12:2, 3; 18:18; 22:15-18; 26: 4; 29:14) The Lord's desire was for the earth
will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover
the sea. (Isa. 11:9; Hab 2:14) If Israel would not voluntarily cooperate,
He would use them even against their will (involuntarily). God is committed to fulfilling
His promises and goals, whether we cooperate with Him or not. Clearly the
best course in life is to yield to His ways and desires to be fulfilled through
our worship and service to Him.
Let's examine
some familiar Bible stories to see how God revealed His glory and might in order
to receive worldwide worship. We must ask ourselves what God receives from
these passages.
God used little
David against Goliath to bring great fame to His name worldwide. David knew this
as he spoke to Goliath saying, "Today the Lord will conquer you …and the whole world
will know there is a God in
Israel." (1
Sam 17:46) The implication here is that God would get worldwide recognition
and worship through these events.
God forcibly
used the Hebrew racist missionary, Jonah to bring the Ninevites to a place of repenting
and worshipping before Him. Maybe Jonah will have a spot around the throne of God
right in the middle of all the Ninevite worshippers!
God used Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego to challenge King Nebudcanezzar's system of worship through
the fiery furnace. After coming out, the king issued a worldwide edict commanding
all the peoples to worship this God (Daniel 3). Later God used Daniel to challenge
the king's proclamation to pray only to him. After Daniel's trial of the lion's
den, King Darius issues a worldwide edict for all the peoples of the earth to worship
the Hebrew god (Daniel 6). From these two accounts, we could conclude that
God got worship from all around the world because of these edicts. These are
just a few places that as we examine, we can begin to understand what God is desiring
to receive.
God's Holy Spirit
is moving across the earth to promote worship. Acts 15 states that God will
restore the Tabernacle of David in the last days in order that all men would seek
the Lord. Paul Cain has had repeated visions of the stadiums of the earth
being filled with worshipping disciples. The Scripture clearly states that this
Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached to all peoples and then the end will come.
I Believe that at the point in time when the last ethnic group is reached for Christ,
and the last place around the throne is filled with the final worshipping disciple,
then the end will come. Let us pursue this goal with all that is in us.
Will you join
together with Global Worship in the goal of being a blessing to the unreached ethnic
peoples of the world in order to bring completion to the Great Commission and fill
God's throne room with worshipping disciples?
