Global Worship A Ministry of David and Robin Kimler

After these things I looked and behold a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, Tribes, peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes...and crying out with a loud voice, saying "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb" ... and fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God.
Revelation 7:9-11

“We’re already doing TOO MUCH FOR MISSIONS as a church!” said one Peruvian pastor toward the beginning of the 3-day Perspectives seminar. The usual Perspectives is a 15 week course which we had to reduce to a 15 hour seminar. Toward the end the seminar he stated that it was essential that they become MORE INVOLVED in reaching the unreached ethnicities waiting to hear about Christ in order that they might worship HIM! Pastor Santiago, from the San Martin de Porras area of Lima said that they had hundreds of seminars that had been taught in Lima, but that this course had been the most valuable in mobilizing pastors and churches to accomplish the Great Commission. He stated that it was imperative to take the NEXT STEP in uniting the pastors and churches in going to the unreached people groups! I encouraged them to take the next step and begin to pray and reach out to the Apurucayali Asheninca Campa, and other ethnicities waiting to hear the Gospel in Peru. I also invited them to participate with possible plans to reach the 19,000 or more peoples of the Pastaza River in Peru who are still waiting to hear as well. These were just 2 of the many testimonies we heard during the 9 days of Perspectives seminars held in 3 locations – San Juan de Lurigancho, Sol de Vitarte, San martin de Porras - of Lima during March. We sure appreciate Julio and Soledad Romero for organizing all these seminars.

It was also to a great blessing to meet some pastors like Lindorf Chamorro, that were very involved in their communities, and even running for political positions in the upcoming April 9 elections. In Peru, everyone has to vote, or they pay a fine for not voting. Even those living abroad have to report to their embassy in order to vote. Please pray the church will get behind the Christians that are running for governmental offices, even the Presidency, and that godly men and women will be elected to positions of authority.

“I’ve noticed that here in Lima there are 2 types of taxi drivers– those who have their name written in a very important book called the BOOK of LIFE and those that are ABOUT TO HAVE their name written in the Book of Life! Which category would you be in?” This was an introduction I used quite a bit while in Lima, and was blessed to see 3 taxi drivers stop their cars when we arrived and pray to receive the Lord! One driver gave me his phone number, and I was able to give it to Pastor Javier who said he would follow up on him since he lived in the same area as his church! Another driver named Carlos, prayed with me to receive Christ, and then talked with me for about 2 hours! He told me he was a secret service agent posing as a taxi driver! He shared with me a near rape trauma his daughter experienced while in Paris, France. I told him to please bring her to receive prayer for healing. I told him of a Saturday women’s prayer and Bible study group that met where I was staying. He never came, but I am praying will soon bring his 20 year old daughter for ministry since she now suffers with arthritis. He told me how he had escaped being killed in his taxi when 3 armed men tried to strangle him and then shot him twice in his leg. Pray these 3 taxi drivers will be a light to many as they drive people around in their city.   Probably the most touching moment of my time in Lima was when I was to preach in Pastor Javier’s church called Candelario de Oro (Golden Candlestick). When I arrived all the members were worshipping in such a deep, heartfelt manner. As I looked up to the front and was following the worship leader, the Lord told me that the woman leading (named Tatiana) was an extravagant worshipper of Jesus like Mary of Bethany. I began to weep as I soaked in the Lord’s presence during the sweet worship. When I got up to preach, I called Tatiana up to give her the word the Lord had given me, and all I could do was weep as I stumbled through the words I attempted to give her. I cannot remember the last time I wept in that manner in any church service and was so deeply moved. It was a wonderful time with the Lord and my Peruvian brothers and sisters in Christ!
