After these things I looked
and behold a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, Tribes,
peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with
white robes...and crying out with a loud voice, saying "Salvation belongs to our
God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb" ... and fell on their faces before
the throne and worshipped God.

Wow! God constantly amazes me with his goodness and grace. Everything he does for
me is in abundance, and I am always amazed at his faithfulness. Once again, the
trip to Mexico was an amazing growing experience in both my spiritual and personal
life. I was able not only to improve my Spanish, but I was able to grow closer to
God as well as the other team members.
Well, we spent most of the week building bathrooms and a nursery for the church
we were helping with. It was hard work, and most of the construction methods that
we were using were very antiquated and tedious. We would pour these huge concrete
pillars to support the walls, and one of the leaders on the team who worked in construction
said that they weren’t even necessary. To give you an idea, it took us all day to
pour two of these concrete pillars, and there were about 20 or so in the entire
building! We were only able to finish a total of four, and prepare two more to be
poured. However, we all worked hard to get as much done as possible. One of the
setbacks in the work, however, was that most of our team ended up getting sick with
diarrhea and vomiting. I was one of them, and I spent most of the last working day
sick in bed. However, I have a strong immune system, and was fully recovered by
the next morning, when it usually took the other kids two or three days to recover.
I was glad I recovered quickly, because I was able to resume my duties as translator.
I spent quite a lot of time translating, since we had two services on Sunday, and
a service every night of the week except Tuesday. It took quite a lot of energy,
but I enjoyed it immensely.
I would like to share with you one of my favorite experiences in Mexico. This is
what I think about every time I think about my trip, and it was definitely one of
the highlights of the trip. While doing construction, we needed to take some metal
pieces to the welder to get them welded together to be long enough for what we needed
them for. Four of us were needed to carry these long metal pieces, so the pastor,
a Mexican church member, Wes (one of our group members) and I went to carry these
things of metal down the street to the welder and back to the church construction
site. As we were walking down the streets of the small Mexican city of Cardenas,
Pastor Roberto and the other man started praising the Lord, inviting everyone we
saw to come to the church service that night at the church. On the way back from
the welder, the other man began singing Mexican praise songs, and the pastor joined
in. I recognized some of the songs from when I lived in Venezuela, so I was able
to join in. It was amazing for me to see just how much these people loved God. Here
we were, walking along the street, and singing at the top of our lungs. These people
loved God so much that they were unashamed to tell everyone they met about him.
I want God to give me faith like that!
I want to thank all of you that gave of your money and for your prayers for me on
this trip. I was strengthened and encouraged to know that all of you were praying
for me as I was gone, and I know that it helped me to keep my strength up as I was
translating. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support.
This trip has been a wonderful experience that I will treasure forever. Since the
first day in Mexico I was really
blessed, and very excited about the blessing we (our team) were going to be. We
arrived in Mexico on Friday night, and we met Pastor Robert, his son Robert Jr.
and their wives and family. Little did we know how much we would grow to love them
and know them as friends and family.
The pastor we worked with had two small churches that he pastored. Both churches
had no classrooms for the children or nurseries and one of the churches had no bathrooms.
The pastor
really
needed to add bathrooms to one of the churches and a nursery/classroom, so we helped
him and his son build it.
The week that I spent with the people of Mexico really showed me how powerful God
is to change lives. When I heard the Pastor Robert and his son’s testimony, I was
amazed at how God could change people’s lives. They formerly were active members
of gangs, were both drug dealers and members of the mafia. Now they have completely
changed and are using their lives to glorify God and to bring others to Him. Robert
Jr., who used to be in a gang, is now helping people get out of gangs and off of
drugs to turn their lives around. God’s power is just awesome!

I was also blessed to see the unashamed faith of these two men of God, and the people
of the church. They would sing to Jesus with all their might not caring how they
sounded. They just wanted to glorify and worship their King Jesus. I also learned
to have a lot more compassion for others and to praise God throughout all circumstances.
God really used Pastor Robert to show us that God really was working in our lives
and that we just needed to trust God and praise Him in all circumstances. I think
our team also really learned a lot about prayer and how powerful prayer really is
when we just pray. While there, the Mexican Pastor required us to spend an hour
on our knees every morning from 6 to 7 praying and asking God for direction, wisdom,
and love in our lives and anything else that was on our heart. We also learned to
pray for each other for healing and blessing in each others lives. I am so glad
that I was able to go to Mexico and be a blessing to my brothers and sisters in
Christ there. It was really neat to get
to translate for our team and to also get to know the people there with the wonderful
gift God has given me. Thank you so much for allowing God to use you and making
it possible for me to be blessed and to be a blessing. May God greatly bless you!
With love in Christ,
Rachelle

Thank you for your prayers while I was in Arizona. My time there was great!
On Tuesday we cleaned up the Navajo cemetery as well as painted the pastor’s house.
When the Navajo people bury someone they never come
back to the cemetery again. So they were happy to know it looked nice.
We cleaned up around a family’s home and did some yard work for them by pulling
up thorny weeds. We moved the junk and burned the weeds to make it look nicer. The
family thanked us at church the next day.
On Thursday the team went to a sweat lodge and prayed in it. A sweat lodge is basically
a frame like a tent that is somewhat underground along with dirt on top of it. Inside
of the lodge there is a place where they put stones that had been on a fire. After
a little while when it started to get hot
inside,
they poured water on the hot stones and it made steam go everywhere. Then we went
in and prayed for each other. If you start to think about how hot you are or worry
it gets worse, but if you just pray for others and focus on them, you relax more
and you can take it better. I learned that it is not all about you when you pray,
because we could only pray for others and as long as I prayed I didn’t think about
how hot I was.
The next few days we swept, mopped and painted the church bathroom floors white.
I learned how fast we could get stuff done when we work as a team.

On the last day we went to the Navajo market where they had handmade crafts, food,
and stuff that was cheap. We drove from there to the Grand Canyon. It was awesome
to see the beauty of God! That night we worshipped and prayed for each other and
some people washed each other’s feet.
One day we went prayer walking and everyone split up and went down different streets.
My team went to a gas station and saw some guys selling some coal. We asked them
if there was anything we could pray for them. They asked for us to pray for 5 feet
of snow because they wanted to sell their coal. We prayed with them and the next
day it snowed a couple of inches!! We were excited that God answered our prayer
and that they might see Him through that! I feel like I learned that can trust in
God more in asking Him for answered prayer.
Thank you for your prayers for me while I was gone and for your gifts to make it
possible. It was a great experience and thank you for being a part!
In Christ,

At the end of February and March, many pastors and
church leaders attended the 3 Perspectives seminars held in different locations.
Now there are pastors and church leaders in Bogota, Colombia as well as in the state
of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela that want the training that the Perspectives courses
offer. Funds are needed to travel and minister in these two locations and in the
other countries the Lord is opening up. We believe that many more pastors and leaders
are ready and willing to receive this training in order that they might more effectively
fulfill the Great Commission in sending their leaders as missionaries to the 10/40
window and other unreached areas. We also need your continued prayers as you help
to send us.

God answers Prayer!! Thank you for
praying!!
|
|
|
- Our Review papers for the IRS were sent off. One number
was left off of the ID which delayed things, but that mistake was caught. We haven’t
heard anything yet, so please keep praying.
- The kid’s mission trips went great as you can tell by
their reports. Thank you for praying!!
- God has provided some funds for the laptop. More are
needed, so please believe with us that we can get it soon. David needs the laptop
for his next trip.
- The Lord has been so faithful in answering prayers about
our health!!
|
|
|
Please pray with us for the following
things:
|
|
|
- Wisdom about our involvement in reaching the unreached
tribal groups along the Pastaza River, a tributary of the Amazon where there is
NO church among almost 20,000 inhabitants. Pray for God’s timing of a scout out
the land trip to the Pastaza River and the unreached.
- Please pray for funds for the trip to Bogota and to Venezuela
to teach Perspectives. Also for David’s stamina and health while there.
- For more partners and Increased support needs due to
higher living costs.
- Pray for Nathan, David’s brother. The tumor was malignant
and he is seeking the Lord for alternatives in the next step of his healing. Please
pray for complete healing!
- We are asking the Lord for a newer Honda to travel in
and do errands. They are great on gas! The one we are driving now is a 1990 and
has been so faithful!
- Health for all of us during this change of seasons. God
has been so good to keep our family healthy.
- We have accomplished a lot on our house. Pray we can
finish and do God’s perfect will. Please ask for wisdom regarding our house and
exactly the steps God wants us to take as we seek to obey his word "Get out of debt,
use what's in your hand."
- Our van has a great need for new tires. We also need
a spare for each vehicle. Please agree with us for these.
